Our gymnastic classes start at age 12 months and continue through high school.
We offer baby gym classes for infants age 12-23 months. Our toddler classes are exposed to the fun of gymnastics at an early age. Most of our class time is spent running, jumping and rolling. We work on a variety of early skills such as fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and balance. Our pre-school gymnastic classes are designed to help develop motor skills, balance and coordination. Our pre-schoolers are introduced to all apparatus in order to learn the basic skills required to become an all around gymnast. We also practice counting and learning our colors in our weekly lessons. Our beginner classes study the art of gymnastics more extensively. We work on apparatus each week. As soon as basic skills are accomplished, we begin to work on more difficult skills. Recreational classes work to improve their skills on all apparatus. These students are invited to participate in tumbling meets from time to time and usually have a routine that can be presented at local performances.
More advanced gymnasts are invited to be a part of our competitive team. We coach girls level 2, 3, 4 and Xcel.
Our dance program is offered to children age 3 years & up, and is divided into two catagories. Our pre-school (age 3-4 years) and kinder (age 5-6 years) dance classes consist of a combination of tap, ballet and creative movement. Students spend the first two years of dance learning basic tap steps, ballet positions and movement fundamentals. Our goal in these classes is to develop motor skills and coordination while having a good time! We also incorporate counting, the alphabet and learning colors and right and left into this program. These classes prepare the students for their future years in school as well as teaching them how to dance. Our school age dance classes (age 7 years and up) study tap, ballet and jazz. This class is designed to teach the students to be dancers, not just to know how to dance. We spend a great deal of time concentrating on proper dance technique as well as learning various types of dances.
